Grey's Anatomy

Today I want to talk about the thing that I always do in my free time, and specially this holidays: watch series. The last series that I watched, was Grey's Anatomy. I watched the 16 seasons! (I started in June)
Well, if you don't know what is this series about, I am going to explain you (spoiler alert).
Basically the series is about a bunch of medical students that wants to be surgeons. The main character is Meredith Grey. There are differents specialties (plastic, neuro, general, pediatrics) and in the way to be great surgeons, a lot of things happen to this students.
A lot of romantic histories and ethical issues (related to medical decisions).
The thing that I liked of this series is that is directed by a woman and you can tell that by watching the series. In the last season, there was a chapter dedicated to a woman that was sexual assault and how the female doctors and nurses in the hospital, help her to make the report to the police. Also they make her stay in the hospital, more pleasant to her (like the fact that they ban the present of men near to the woman). That was a very good and emotional chapter.
Well, some of the topics that the series reach are racism, lgbtq+ issues, feminism, religion, depression, etc. I think that is a very good series, not so much accurate with the medicine stuff but the topics that they talk about are very deep and important. Hope some of you already watch it.

I think I've watched a couple of episodes of Grey's Anatomy and the fact that it's directed by a woman it's awesome, I had no idea. My favorite series is The X-Files and it was directed by a man. You can clearly see the difference in how they treat women when it comes to the plot, so thanks for the suggestion, the topics around it sound really interesting.

ResponderEliminarThat chapter is WOW! Good news for you, the new season premieres tomorrow (september, 26)!!!! If you like the style of the director of this serie maybe you would like Scandal and Station 19 (this is about the firemen who appear in greys anatomy)
